Mercy on the Jericho Road

A 100 Word Sermon on the 1st Sunday in Lent Inspired by Luke 10:25-37

But the legal expert wanted to prove that he was right, so he said to Jesus,
“And who is my neighbor?”

Wickedness thrives when we identify an enemy. 

Be careful on the Jericho Road.
Dangers lurk around every bend.
Human Dignity is stolen.
Civil rights are stripped and shredded. 

Christ reframes the kin-dom - 
	The family of God.

To have eternal life:
	embody a lifestyle where 
	relationships and community are limitless.

Practice recognizing the divine in each person.
Extend mercy that transcends the rhetoric.
Bind the wounds without asking about health insurance.
Advocate for the scared, vulnerable, broken, and unheard.

Take a breath . . . 
	Offer your hand.

Jesus Justice thrives when we identify the stranger as a neighbor.
Go and do likewise.
