Suddenly . . .

A 100 Word Easter Sermon Inspired by Matthew 28:1-10

“And suddenly there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.”

Moving through grief.
Acting with tender care.
Bearing witness
	even when you are on the brink of despair. 

Journeying through this season 
	of already but not yet. 

Suddenly,
A new day dawns.
The earth shifts.

In the blink of an eye, 
Divine Love rises up.

Empire stops in its tracks (momentarily). 
Humanity’s sins are no match 
	for the power of God’s extravagant grace.

The angel’s message rolls through every generation:
“He is not here. He has been raised.”

Jesus meets you where you are
	Greeting you with Good News!

Go and tell:
Christ is Risen!
He is Risen Indeed!
Alleluia!
